Kari Anne’s BodyMindFlow concept has become an integrated element of our leadership program called Mindful Leadership. Through the exercises led by Kari Anne, the participants learn to know their body as a resource for leadership, they gain awareness of their mental processes and they learn how to remain centered and aware during stressful situations. The exercises reinforce the course’s other learning processes, and it is common for course facilitators to refer the BodyMindFlow exercises during other portions of the program. Also, the exercises both help the leaders become conscious of the body’s need for both movement and rest—and provides the exercises to meet that need.
Kari Anne has played a central role in this module of The Journey since 2008, and has now trained two of our instructors to lead BodyMindFlow. Leading BodyMindFlow has made it even more clear to us how the exercises and the other learning process work together to increase the participants awareness of how they exercise their leadership, how they influence and are influenced by their environment.
We have received many comments from participants as to how useful they have found BodyMindFlow, and some have invited Kari Anne to introduce BodyMindFlow to their own teams or as a part of larger management gatherings. We are proud to have BodyMindFlow as a central element of Mindful Leadership, and I warmly recommend it for other companies wanting to have an increased focus on mindful leadership.»

"For me the main insight from BodyMindFlow was a greater understanding of the barriers that I put up at work. I often have a fear of people seeing my softer side and therefore put on a mask at work which can lead to communication failures. I have always been aware of this tendency but have been less aware of the impact on those that I work with. Using the techniques learned through BodyMindFlow I have been able to lower my work mask which has allowed me to delegate more, trust others more and trust myself more.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole courseweek although I was a sceptic at first. During our first session I struggled to engage as my mind just wouldn’t focus. Perhaps it is the “British” in me but I really thought the sessions would be a waste of time. I couldn’t have been more wrong. By the end of the week I couldn’t wait to get to the BodyMindFlow sessions. They energised you at the start of the day and helped to consolidate your learning at the end of the day. I think they should be an integral part of any leadership training.
I am easily distracted at work particularly during long meetings or phone calls. BodyMindFlow has helped me to stay focused on the here and now which helps to demonstrate to others that you are engaged and participating.»
